Trout Scout is ideal for the grass flats of the Big Bend area

Our inshore boat is a 23’8” Carolina Skiff named the “Trout Scout”. It is an ideal boat for the grass flats of the Big Bend area. She is very stable and offers a very large fishing area, with two coolers (one for food and drinks, one for your catch), storage for ten rods, two 15 gallon aerated live wells, seating for four adults, and is powered by a 130hp Honda outboard.

We use lures from Berkley, Salt Water Assassin, Mirro-lure, Bite-a-Bait and other well known manufacturers to assure the best response from artificial bait.

All customers are covered under the Captain’s fishing license.

Our rods are custom designed and built by Matthew's Fishin' Styx using the latest in rod blanks and micro guides to reduce weight, arm strain, wind knots, increase sensitivity and add considerable distance on each cast. They are equipped with Shamanio Stratic 2500FI reels spooled with 10lb Power Pro braided line.
